Today's bankruptcy filings - IBM's Lawyer Arrives(Groklaw)

Ah ha. IBM is getting prepared to speak to the bankruptcy judge.

Of course we do not have any idea what he may want to say. Could just be about that $100,000 or so that SCO mentioned in passing as being owed to IBM. Or, maybe not.

I doubt IBM is planning on just wasting its time.

So who do we have seated at the table?

Novell is there. Hp is there. IBM is there. No Red Hat just yet. And I have suggested that either or both of IBM or Red Hat may not show. So we get to wait and see if Red Hat makes an appearance.

I do not know about you but if this was a poker table, I think I would ask for a new seat assignment. This is a zero sum game. And right now those big dudes from IBM, Novell and even HP are packing loaded pistols. And the guy with the hat has yet to show.

This could be interesting to watch. I said “watch”. No one is coming away a winner.
